Buddy Marshall Appeal
Help the Buddy Marshall Assistive Technology Center!
Friends,
Buddy Marshall is one of my heroes. His abrupt transformation from a top performing Navy fighter pilot to quadriplegic in the course of an instant is one that moved me tremendously and viscerally as a father. His Dad is an old pal of mine, and the sudden transformation of his entire family is one of those life stories that is both tragic and inspirational. I had my own distractions at the time and could not be part of the incredible effort to bring hope to a dynamic young man when it mattered. At the beginning.
It still matters, despite the overwhelming outpouring of love. Thankfully, I have rallied, and thank the stars above for the chance to something to help make it right for Buddy.
As is usual for the Marshall family, they did the extraordinary. They found the best hospital and the best doctors to begin the long march to Hope. I invite you to take a look at his page at: https://p2p.idonate.com
and see what they have done to begin a long road, one filled with challenge and courage, and help Buddy make it.
Here is the story: “From the moment he wakes up in the morning, until he falls asleep at night, Buddy Marshall relies on assistive technology to live his life. See why the former TOPGUN instructor has made it his personal mission to bring this technology and equipment to patients at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia.”
I know Buddy will appreciate any help you can give in these tough times. He and his family faced the challenge of a lifetime. Check the page if you have the time. Donate something if you have the means to join the fight.
(Note: I am technically challenged. I contacted the Center and found that if you click on the “donate” button, a new window does not open. Just scroll down the page and at the foot is the information necessary to send a contribution. It is worth it!)
With Love and Hope,
