Goodness, a busy morning in the country! There is plenty to be excited about, though these days an old word with meanings we all understood now contains new elements. “Horror” is one of them, but we are old and some of the new interpretations no longer have any particular meaning. “Fear” is another one of those that changes with time. There are many things we no longer have much concern about. Some of the more subtle ones have assumed mutable aspects- “truth” and “beauty” are among them, and we have decided to keep the old interpretations with which we are comfortable.

There was a story this morning about one of the people who has adopted one of those fluid aspects of social avant-gardism. The common sense approach to even describing it is deliberately opaque. Saying it the way we would have was simple. “Married Lesbian actress undergoes some sort of surgery and now declares she is a skinny weak male.”

We had both apparent genders read it in both the affirmational manner and the one that most effectively tells the story. So that is the sort of crafting that goes into the Weather Report this morning. In Ukraine, Russia is grinding away, but appears to have successfully taken the two eastern provinces that could provide “proof of victory.” It has been a costly endeavor for him, and there is no guarantee that he can suffer years of provocations there or in Crimea, under Russian rule again only since 2014.

American Vets have been reported in the field with the Ukrainians, and we are only now reaping the consequences of the war we fought since 2001, nearly twenty years devoted to the Global War on Terror. Could participation of American Warriors make this a more combustive sort of affair? We do not know the consequences of a twenty-year war, ended with frantic flight from a lovely reconstructed airfield in Afghanistan, leaving a billion dollar Embassy.

Well, that is an interest aspect for discussion, but there is something happening here in America in November, and there is a lot riding on it. The general idea seems to be that a visionary party has committed us all to the elimination of fossil fuels. Like the attempted description of the fluid person this morning, it makes perfect sense only in a transcendental fashion, and requires acceptance of the impossible to keep a straight face. They are doing that in Germany this morning, and we will be seeing the same sort of thing here as we march toward the Fall.

Some of us are leaving the Property this morning, and it may involve interactions with family. So, an exciting sort of morning, and the prospect of a journey into The World!
