Medical Adventures

We have tried to keep this quiet, since none of us need the potential repercussions from making wild assertions about things we do not have the educational certification to validate. We are also not going to claim anything about medical topics like widespread infections or unintended consequences. What does occur to us is that we had one of the Writer’s Section who burned through nearly a half million bucks in medical institutional expenses.

Let’s take it back a moment here, since it appears there are commercial enterprises that were eager to stifle any complaints about the Covid-19 “crisis.” In fact, the stifling went on in the several continents.

We ought to give you a baseline on the one case with which we have a certain familiarity. This is a male in his early 70’s in age. Boomers have a set of learned behaviors that are no longer the norm. That is common with the passing of generations, which we mark generally as that period from around 18 to around 65 in years on the planet. Age is important, since there are descriptions of some of the Chinese who were recently apprehended (briefly) after crossing the porous southern Border.

They are described as being “young males of military age.” That unsettled many of us on The Patio, since the integrity of our border is a concept we have always supported. The situation now appears to not be an “undefended border,” but rather one in which Federal employees are facilitating the entry of undocumented hundreds of thousands of people.

We hasten to note that that we are not opposed to immigration, since most of us here in America are originally from someplace else. And it is even more startling that we have deliberately set the stage for hundreds of thousands more such entries by granting Venezuelans work permits without a shred of scrutiny.

Does that have something to do with medical emergencies? There are recent reports of at least five crossers have active cases of tuberculosis. You would think there might be some long-standing policy about permitting active and deadly diseases into the country that had largely eliminated them. Accordingly, there is some justification in wondering what the hell is going on.

As mentioned, Boomers are an interesting group, and it is welcome to see that generation passing into retirement. At lease those not elected to Congress, who appear to have determined that their increasing infirmities pose no risk to themselves although it may be risky for the rest of us.

What that government, led by Boomers, has achieved is the destruction of trust. We used to take our government at Its word. There was an aggressive corps of something we used to know as “journalists,” who were chartered to examine the variety of half-truths and give us a variety of other half truths. That has transitioned to a media circus in which those two halves have transitioned into a single unified montage of Boomers, Gen Z, Millennials and opinionated propagandists.

That leads around to the medical thing. It was an adventure in How Things Work These Days. The single case we were able to examine in detail was a genuine Boomer who grew up immediately after the conclusion of the most horrific struggle in human history. At least so far. We will be taking a look at the curious relation of health and politics in America- and the world- over the next few days to try to shed some light on the matter. Whatever it is.
