The Looky-Loo

Those were the words from a lady in North Carolina who said “if you come for the looky-loo on the storm damage, you out to try to help.”

Good watch words with the anniversary last year’s horror that started some of the others we have shared through the messaging of the lst year. Management asked us to try to stay with the sort of uplifting images in the Cowboy State Daily, or stay alert for what is happening close to home. But you can see we naturally stray to the things in motion, like the Elk Ridge Fire, or the second smash-and-grab over at the Pentagon City Mall where the Secretary of State’s security detail got agitated.

There was another one about the New Zealand Navy’s tragedy and who was in command when it sank, but got the red flag from legal who said “wait and put it in the book, if they let you.”

So, we thought we would try to keep this morning a little upbeat and appreciate one of those glorious risings of seasonal transition. We had the morning staff meeting outside in a hint of cool air. The sun was first peeked over the eight floor, and with the clarity of sky and brilliance of the light the shadows marked the motion with the precision of the Rolexes we used to wear. Maybe better. And then there were the furry critters who no longer fear the crowd and stroll among us, So we are doing some wildlife today and will enjoy something that has nothing to do with the messaging.
