Arrias and His Muse: 50 years and More
On a magnificent pillar of fire,
With a mighty rumble and a roar,
They raced into the heavens above,
Carrying mans most basic desire.
To push, to seek, to touch the very stars,
No longer bound to this, man’s cradle,
To assert what the ancients already knew,
This universe is truly ours.
Like giants of myth we strive and strive,
To reach the vault of heaven,
To cross the void, to reach the stars,
To keep all man’s hops alive.
Not here but up there our future lies,
And three men showed us the way,
50 years and more… we must once again push,
Let us once again seek the prize.
