Cool History is Made!

A historic moment occurred today that had nothing to do with conflict overseas, elections or any of the rest of the current turmoil in which we are embroiled. It does touch, by inference, some of sports and gender issues and it is pretty cool. Here it is, in unusually brief format: Iowa b-ball star Caitlin Clark became the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer. In view of some of the other controversies of the day, we should note that she surpassed the total scored by LSU legend ‘Pistol’ Pete Maravich.

For the record, the highest scoring college basketball player in history is now Caitlin Clark who currently stands tall at 3,668 points. She is not done yet, either. Nice to have some cheery news of dedication and achievement in our current chaos!
