Emojis of December

Emojis of December

So, the outbreak today started with those things in the circles above. They mix the political ones with the emoji of how Kristina felt after the scooter mishap. Plowing across the streams of conversation was the football thing that DeMille nixed insertion on the heading as “too provocative.” Stay with something safe like senior accidents on a cold brisk day.

As SOP, he had directed when he was at the spa before lunch the background noise not drench the place in the noise from stadiums. The World Series and College football had passed mostly without event but was a change in the tempo of things in the Conference Room from contact sports displayed in slightly larger than life-sized moving images on the wall of the space.

The round of announcements had started around close-out and get something posted early. There were some sort of juicy ones that pushed over the holiday and some other orchestrated coverage just starting on others. There was Kash Patel, Pete Hegseth and Andy McCabe all featured in topics this morning with some rising emotion for what’s next.

The accusations against Hegseth are particularly interesting since they include religious and social issues we were directly told to stay away from to avoid liability until we know exactly what those might be. The Kash and Andy thing is of interest for the people who live here who have worked for (or with) DoJ for the predictable reasons.

So, that was in the background when Kristina got Vic back from the scooter accident and the Michigan-Ohio State results scrolled across the bottom of the screen. Vic went to the University of Michigan a very long time ago, and there had been a discussion about the rivalry with the Buckeyes before the question came up about the concrete curb by the scooter drop over on Pershing and the consequences of the moderate difference between wheel diameter and cold concrete.

We won’t go into the rest of it, which included the law fare stuff that has changed the nature of collegiate sports and the motivation to follow them. Kristina was tapping the emojis on the slide above as a quick update, indicating she was thankful Vic hadn’t got his butt kicked when he fell. She is accustomed to the pace of things in Clarendon outside the perimeter of Big Pink and the assisted living center grounds at The Gardens next door. And mostly thankful it was a manageable mishap not requiring her to arrange transportation.

So, that is the Sunday that is preparing for an active Monday after a jolt of traditional emotion. The emojis pretty much sum it up, you know?
