Fifteen Minute County: Syria Falls, But No Sunday Production Meetings
Joyous Voices Next Weekend!
The morning events have DeMille in a dilemma about production, which he had intended to be covered with a Saturday piece from Kristina about some of the local stuff, an update on local real estate with the news about the Hegseth nomination going forward while Mr. Trump is acting as US head of state already in Paris.
That caused the below headline, left for transmit with the Daily before he went to Church with the intent on a nice brunch after at Freddie’s beach Bar, which is a story in itself, going back to when Freddie Lutz took over the old Fox Hole bar in Crystal City 21 years ago near the Pentagon’s north parking which we could almost see from the E-Ring.
The story about that transition goes with some of the other ones, so we will keep it short the way Marketing has told us for more clicks.
That was the big news, or both of those were, since there are now other ones, and there is the restaurant review we want to get to since the cheddar Chesapeake seafood biscuits, buttery and rich which would be good on the side for some of the meals coming up or with mugs of Chock Full O’ Nuts in the morning.
We were told to remind folks that the historic venues for a powerful vocal experience you can actually feel is at some venues of great historic significance in this city, both accessible by Metro within a block or two. Which led to the stories about listening to those voices over the years in venues like the Kennedy Center, but these in a more intimate and solemn location.
Which led to that talk about the re-Dedication of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, who was there, and then who was looking at whom at the Elysee Palace with an interesting look, a crowd that including Macron, one of the more significant Biden’s, Mr. Zelenskyy in wrinkled fatigues and President-Elect Trump. So you can see why this is already straining the bounds of credulity without any added irony.
DeMille says the Chairman is happy if the material gets saved in decent sharable folders so the work can be farmed out over time to the interns whose labor is cheap, but with some of the original emotion and surprise provided from the Creative Staff when awake to do it. No one is going to believe this stuff when they read it in retrospect, you know? Some of the stuff in the stories this morning is material we would have been in Leavenworth after we had been bankrupted.
That was in “The Seventy Days,” the book the company issues after the 2020 election. The stuff that was surprising then, shocking even, is now under discussion to be pardoned and we never even left the County.
This morning, the Boomers are half-dressed for holy services or brunch, or both, and the Islamic extremists in Damascus are said to be backed by NATO ally Turkey.
That will take a while to sort out. What DeMille told Splash to pull together was a Daily that would describe chapters from the new Fifteen Minute book project as individual briefs under headlines that could be titled as useful commentary streams, all individually billable to the donor who sponsors part of this in exchange for clicks to whatever it is she is doing.
Which would be other than the compilation of the proud loud voices out on The Patio this morning.
Which are claiming the Kurds in Turkey will be the first target of the new, radical state that is emerging in Syria, where Israel is moving forward- again- in a troubled neighborhood. And the Pope is dedicating a new nativity scene in the Vatican that features the Christ Child lain atop a Palestinian kiffayeh.
Well, one shot of it did, one with the Pontiff at a bit of a distance and the rest of the AP stuff almost deliberately no showing the overhead vantage of the headgear. Which left DeMille in a situation of approving an assertion to the truth of something he had seen some other place and take his word for it.
The above is what was on the screen on the conference table after the Syria note and the choral note about the Men’s Camerata. It was a compilation about what Melissa had been working on, starting with the sunset at Big Pink yesterday down at lower right.
Then: “Clockwise the Sentra vehicle on the asphalt with all four wheels removed over on Hatfield last Thursday and how they did it, the armed mail-box robber to be alert for even though everyone looks like that and Marilyn’s look captured in a famous picture in September of 1950. And then the moon last night from the Patio with that cigar Splash had.”
According to her calculations, that is around the time of the Chairman’s conception, and the association of an image possibly seen by his father at that time may actually explain a lot about the whole subsequent enterprise. All of them.
Of which, of course, this is a part. We will get to the bulletins as they come and then try to get organized tomorrow, you know? There is some stuff going on right here!
