Life & Island Times: Winter is Coming
Editor’s Note: A Square State buddy out west gave us a nice recount of the storm that hit them yesterday. There is a note of the surreal in nodding along with a report of gusts over fifty miles an hour slicing across their property and the better part of a foot of snow going sideways. Here in the DC area, that storm has not yet arrived, and there is a little bit more emotion than in a Square State report. The Lady in Red last night reported the storm you see out there in the Mountain Time Zone in the note below. We are supposed to start getting something cold and wet tomorrow at 0330, with rain falling on the ice at “the Commute Time!”
We will keep you posted on EST developments, but this from the MTZ may help get you in the mood!

Author’s Note: Kilo Sierra works in the energy biz that has her in Fargo ND this week. Her reports of the coming winter storm, a nothing burger per the locals, have treated us to images of before and during snowfall plus descriptions of endless back and forth snow shoveling that reminded me of snowmageddon activities in the Midwest during the 1950s.
Winter is coming.
