The NAS Pensacola Terrorist Attack: At play in the Fields of Taqiyya, Maruna, Kitman & Hudna

Here’s to Pt. Loma for referencing this in his latest piece, entitled: “We Called it Paradise”; dated December 7th, 2019.

Despite the best intentions of some in the “mainstream media” and our own Government to obfuscate the real intentions of Muhammed Saeed al Shamrani, a Saudi Arabian Air Force 2ndLieutenant at NAS Pensacola for more than a year for flight training, it’s becoming fairly obvious that it was a terrorist attack that he carried out on the morning of December 6th, that killed 3 people and wounded at least 8.

There will be the inevitable hand wringing and clothes-rending as words such as “self-radicalization” and “Islamphobia” are bandied about; and the resulting in-depth “media” analysis that lays the blame squarely on our own shoulders for (you choose the reason): our support of Israel; our presence in the Middle East/Syria/Iraq/Saudi Arabia; the Iraq War; in retaliation for the killing of Al Baghdadi; Osama Bin Laden; etc., etc., etc.

Some words, that definitively won’t be used and or analyzed by the media, that help explain how a Saudi Arabian 2ndLieutenant can come and live in this country for almost two years, and yet stay “under-cover” long enough to eventually commit a blatant act of Anti-American/Anti-Western terrorism such as this, are the following:

al-Taqiyya: “Dissimulation”:

The practice of “Taqiyya” (from the Arabic root word “waqa” = “to safeguard”) within Islam, is most often associated with the Shi’ites; however, it is in fact, practiced almost as widespread among Sunnis, and especially among Sufi Sunni sects, who like the Shi’ites, view themselves as open to discrimination or attack, because of the deviancy of their particular Sufi doctrine from mainstream Islam.

Sunni Muslims will resolutely deny that taqiyyais a Sunni practice, almost universally citing it as a heretical practice by Shi’ites. Supposedly, since Sunnis believe more in Pre-destination than Shi’ites, who believe more in “free will”,taqiyyais not necessary practiced among Sunnis; since one’s fate is already determined by Allah.

Thus practicing taqiyya supposedly would not alter one’s fate is the Sunni rationale! Both sides have for centuries, issued religious tracts either variously condemning or praising the practice, and either side is able to point to multiple Suras (revelations or sayings) in the Qu’ran, or tracts from other Religious works, to support their various positions.

However, this is how a leading Western Islamist Scholar, the Frenchman Cyril Glasse, himself a convert to Wahhabi-style Sunni Islam, defines “Taqiyya” in his Concise Encyclopedia of Islam:

…“self-protection” and hence “dissimulation [in order to protect oneself]”. The principle of dissimulation of one’s religious beliefs in order to avoid persecution or imminent harm, where no useful purpose would be served by publicly affirming them. It is contained in the Qur’an 16:106:

Whoso disbelieves in God, after he has believed – excepting him who has been compelled, and his heart is still at rest in his believe– but whosever’s breast is expanded in unbelief, upon them shall rest anger from God, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement….

A Prophet however cannot dissimulate the truth. Otherwise, recourse to this refuge is universally accepted in Islam!! (Emphasis Mine) It is, however, associated most closely with the Shi’ites who practiced taqiyyahsystematically and widely during periods of Sunni domination to hide their beliefs from Sunni Muslims.

Who better to define the practice, than a Wahhabi Muslim?

The challenge to us as Westerners/non-believers, is to realize that this phenomenon exists, and how to deal with it! One of the basic ironies of the practice of taqiyyaitself is to deny the very existence of taqiyya! How can one practice something, that doesn’t in fact, exist?

Maruna: “Stealth” or “Flexibility”:

Since AlShamrani is a Saudi Arabian national, and undoubtedly a Sunni, some would now argue that he was not practicing “taqiyya”, but “maruna” (“stealth” or “flexibility”), which thanks to the Muslim Brotherhood (who else?), is now a standard practice embraced and encouraged by the Muslim Brotherhood, which is the neo-natal care unit of all Islamic Salafi-Jihadi Terrorist movements around the world.

“Muruna was designed to catapult and advance Sharia by using Western means. If one thinks that Sharia, with its harsh code, is problematic enough, how about the elimination of the kinder, gentler laws? Muruna is literally accomplished by permitting behavior normally so eschewed by Sharia that Westerners logically assume a more moderate version of Islam when such prohibitions are suddenly permitted. Westerners’ eyes are, in fact, deceiving them. Muruna is about going to great lengths to gain interests through a much deeper level of deception while simultaneously lowering the guard and gaining the support of the infidels”

Kitman: “to hide” or “conceal”:

Another Islamic practice of concealment or tricking the Kufr’s; attributed to the Shi’ites, but also used by Sunnis, and especially Jihadis:

“In operational terms, taqiyya and kitman allowed the ‘mujahadeen ‘ to assume whatever identity was necessary to fulfill their mission; they had doctrinal and theological and later jurisprudential sanction to pretend to be Jews or Christians to gain access to Christian and Jewish targets: ‘the mujahadeen can take the shape of the enemy’.”

Hudna: “ceasefire”:

If one is to believe wikipedia, “hudna” means “ceasefire”, and is a completely aboveboard & honorable affair. However, the Wikipedia’s entries on these various practices of Islamic deception have been edited by outside sources over the past 15 years to make them as innocuous and non-threatening as can be. In fact, there is another, more nuanced understanding, one that basically turns the “hudna” into an up-to-ten-year cessation of hostilities, or until we manage to rebuild/re-arm, and come back and destroy you type of “ceasefire”! Bin Laden himself, in 2006, offered the US a “hudna” back in January of 2006!

“Muhammad and the rulers of Mecca, most of whom had yet to convert to Islam, negotiated a truce, the essence of which was to permit the Muslims to return unarmed on pilgrimage each year for the next decade. It came to an end two years later, however, following an infraction by a tribe allied to the Meccans. In 630, Muhammad entered Mecca with a small, armed force and took the city peacefully. Hudna, in other words, amounted to a temporary truce.”

The fact is, every single National US Politician, and Flag Officer Military Leader, should be made to read this Specific Paragraph:

“In operational terms, taqiyya and kitman allowed the ‘mujahadeen ‘ to assume whatever identity was necessary to fulfill their mission; they had doctrinal and theological and later jurisprudential sanction to pretend to be Jews or Christians to gain access to Christian and Jewish targets: ‘the mujahadeen can take the shape of the enemy.”

According to Christian ethics lying is a sin; In Islamic jurisprudence and theology, the use of taqiyya against the unbelievers is regarded as a virtue and a religious duty.”
