Postcard From the Swamp
Forgive me, gentle readers. I have been quite distracted of late, and perhaps it is only the radical New York uptempo rhythm that now pervades and pulsates in our soggy somnolent former Southern town.
I mean, honestly. I had to do my slides for the big weekly meeting- you know, the one where I hold my breath and hope the company is doing well- and amid the personnel, pipeline and recruiting status updates, I try to include a slide on what is going on here in The Swamp. I would be lying if this wasn’t entertaining, if we didn’t consider that we are dancing on a precipice above a very steep canyon.
It is quite remarkable. Like my comrades on both sides of the political spectrum, I have doing this sort of information processing professionally for over forty years, trying to sort things out from garbled information, often incorrectly connecting dots, and sometimes not connecting the ones that are going to bite us in the butt.
So here is my take on this particular Week That Was. There is more, of course, but things are crazy enough as it is and this is not intended to be a Pentagon 115-slide PowerPoint epic presentation on looniness.
