Situation Report: March 31 2025

The institution which is managing our Rehabilitation started slowly today, easing itself into another vigorous week of emphatic success. That is what the Socotra House Legal Section told us to say, and to be flattering to both the Occupational and Physical Therapy staffs who are managing the process. We tried that, but the other stuff that rose about ‘planning’ and ‘events’ and what is actually going on is still unfolding.

So, like the man said, you never count your money while you’re sittin’ at the table. There will be plenty of time for that elsewhere. So, with the Day of Fool’s looming we are going to keep our mouths shut until we know something more, maybe on Liberation Day.

But you would have to ask Marine Le Pen about that. She was barred from a French Presidential election in 2027 after being convicted on embezzlement charges actualy committed somewhere fairly well down in her right-wing party’s apparatus. But like much of the litigation in process by the frantic left, this conviction was more about the future than what might have happened in the past.

Polls indicate she had a good chance of winning the Presidency, but we don’t know if we will get swept up in an array of legal stuff which caused the /interns to attend the production meeting in the suite. There was a brief good shot of insight suggesting we have a shot at reducing the male occupants of this Rehabilitation suite by two thirds.

Or one of us leaving if everyone is polite and talks softly. So, we are going to shut up about that, and praise the nice supervised stroll in which we were followed by the wheelchair down to the Nursing Station at the end of the corridor. We agreed with Mohammed that tomorrow will be a splendid day to get down to the gym and work on knee strength with the same vigor we used to agree with the other Therapy team who appeared one step ahead of the dinner tray at 18:07 this afternoon.

As you might imagine, that lead to some potential discontinuities which we think may be avoided in order for some other beneficial health events to transpire, So expect some wild enthusiasm about both Occupational and Physical therapy departments, whose expertise is unchallenged on either side of the Potomac. Wise and well managed in times of stress, you know?

Accordingly, we will not attempt to sum up winners and losers on a week just oozing out the therapeutic gates. The Big Reconciliation Budget Bill faces step three of the eight it will take tog the Big Bill to the President’desk. He is considering a run for a third term to stop some of the illegal stuff, or have Mr. Musk wear a cheese hat. We know a little about the feeling, and will take this with as big and forthright a smile as we can manage.

There are still cards on the table, and we want to ensure they are put away properly and with all due respect to those who manage the individual guardrails and speed bumps ahead.

That is how we are marking the start of this week, and how we hope it will go though these days to the one in which the Fools will be liberated tomorrow along with all the other ones on Victory Day which we believe will occur on Wednesday.

We had a long piece ready about the Massive Ordnance thingie that might be carried by the half of our entire B-2 bomber inventory that is vacationing at Diego Garcia out in the Indian Ocean and where they might carry them if someone asked.

That is something else Legal recommended we peddle on the light side, and just say “things remain a little tense out there,” but it is nothing to get alarmed about since it is equally possible some great news might be coming. Maybe not this week, but we are holding on to our cards until the dealing is done, you know?

More as it happens! These are exciting times!
