Things are so loony up here that I felt a little information shocked. Or maybe it was the time change last weekend. This one wiped me out for some reason, so the news from Mexico really made me sit up when I first heard it.. Last week, the authorities rounded up the son of drug lord el Chapo Guzman. The Cartel was so irritated at the effrontery that they took tactical action and forced the Government to release him.

When I saw that item, I knew the long-strengthening influence of the criminals had hopped a significant line. It is still too early to know the full story of why the Mormon families were targeted. But it tells me we have got more issues than a wall can address. I think we landed without permission at Vera Cruz in 1848, so there may still be some lingering resentment about the matter.

We had our local elections in Virginia and now have Democrats in charge of both chambers of the House of Delegates. We are officially Blue for the first time in 25 years. That is in addition to our strange Governor. The legislative agenda he was pushing to get attention off that yearbook picture is going to cause sparks. My write-in candidate actually won.
