The Divergent Daily
No we aren’t there, though we wish we were. That is Seoul with the gate to the old city wall in 1980 and the big pivot from pirate days to asking Jane to marry and build a family. She was tired of what she was doing and said “Yes,” and then the real magic of our species began.
Our sons Nick and Eric made an enriched experiences as they stirred the sauce and added spice and volume! Nick contributed some amazement with pics of grandkids on the Grand Canal in Venice, the real one, last seen by me in a hurried wartime glimpse that shows the vitality in occasionally winning one.
Eric and Whitney are reconstructing a place in Point Loma, the place that was Jane’s favorite San Diego and nestled with Whitney’s vibrant family. A treat to share and bask in the love with a new yet un-named daughter coming to join Kit in mischief.
To say I have been blessed is like, “an understatement,” you know?
I won’t bore you with a recent medical adventure worth book-length treatment. It is a consolidation of vascular events derived from all that running in all those places and a chance for a little healing, though probably an intermediary sort. I looked up at a decent vascular surgeon to ask what the window of health might be, and he seemed to think a year or two.
I am happy with that and determined to (responsibly) enjoy them.
Which brings us to this, Gentle Reader, family and friends. I love you, completely without reservation. To have the events in progress in the background only makes it that much more precious!
Love,
Vic.
