Tuesday in the Kitchen

So, it is Tuesday. I knew that from almost the first minutes of Fox & Friends, and I am no slouch on details.
Wiki tells me this is the day occurring after Monday and before Wednesday, which is when I have to do the stupid postcard from the stupid Swamp. There is a lot of stupidity going on here. Trust me on that one.

According to some commonly used calendars, however, especially in the United States, it is the third day of the week. The English name is derived from the Old English- and I do love the old English- Tiwesdæg and Mittle AnglishTewesday, meaning “Tīw’s Day,” the day of the God of single combat. I have been doing that for more weeks than I like to think of.

Just ask Jose, Leo and Miguel. They know.

It struck me, after rising too early on this particular Tuesday (there have been several), that the President said yesterday that he- and others in the White House conference room- would have run to the sound of guns discharged in a schoolhouse, whether armed or not.

I tried to think of a moment when that moment would come and the decision to go die would present itself and what I would do.

BTW, ‘Tiw’ was equated with the martial god Mars, and the name of the day is a translation of the Latin dies Martis.

It is not too much to deal with- it never is, until it is, of course- but I will tell you what, this is as good a Tuesday as it gets.

I talked to one of the three or four women in my life that I have sincerely offered to marry this morning- not that I am a particularly good catch- but what the hell. Men and women are sure a puzzle aren’t they? And what fun!

So, thinking about bold plans and great ideas, I found myself energized in ways I have not contemplated in a while.

Meanwhile, I threatened you with the prospect of seeing the mostly complete kitchen.

Be advised. This crap is not for the faint-hearted.
