Weather Report: Living Is Easy
Yep. we are officially in winter. One of the meteorological boffins bounded onto the Patio yesterday to announce the official arrival of the winter solstice. There were a couple glance around the motley crew of Salts, most of whom had experienced the Solstice Blues delivered by the legendary Jim Champaige when someone said “longest” or “shortest” day of the year. Jim would remind us they were all the same length. It being only a question of how much more illumination we could cram into it.
So the Holiday is about to sweep over us again. We are upbeat and optimistic about all sorts of things. We have marched resolutely into this transitional period, resolute that we will rest the new year on a solid base of digital currency, new alliances and tomfoolery in 2024.
We are naturally excited, and hope some of that enthusiasm rides along with you on a delightful evening filled with song. Or maybe that is tomorrow. We would love to be able ask Old Jim about that. But he may make us wait until next year. And the other part about it? As of today, the amount of sunlight we get each day will increase moderately until there is that thing they call “Summertime.”
We understand that living is going to be easy in the new one we will greet in nine days or so. Even Jim will admit that this is going to be full of all sorts of light and dark!
