The Writer’s Section is taking a certain distance on this war. It is the third one that has had a name in our personal experience. There were a few more that had “operational” names, and places with names.

“GONZO Station” was one of those places. We spent 110 days there one time, waiting for something to happen, or to be told to do something. That is part of what is oddly familiar this morning, since we haven’t experienced that mild feeling of anxiety in decades. There are other feelings along that line.

We saw two of them yesterday and they are included in the compilation of bullets on the usual weekly slide. We do not know the individuals responsible for the prediction, so have no way to vouch or validate them. There are people this morning who are quite matter of fact about their predictions. What is going on now in Gaza could very well drag our grand children into something horrific. Like the last global conflict, it may be already happening in more than one place.

It may continue for a while, and some of the places are not yet famous. But they may be.
